Digital X-rays
Digital x-rays are faster than conventional x-rays, and they are comfortable for you. They also aid us to accurately diagnose your oral health needs. All with up to 90% less radiation exposure. We employ digital imaging, as well, to show you how fabulous your new and improved smile could look, before treatment even begins. With no chemical processing needed, digital technology helps us do our part to keep the environment safe, too.
Dental Magnification Loupes
Excellent dental care requires attention to detail and exacting precision. We must work in very small spaces and be accurate to a fraction of a millimeter. To help us, Dr. Ra and your hygienist use special prismatic magnification glasses, or “loupes.”
Laser Assisted Cavity Detection
Since identifying and filling cavities is one of the most important things we do for patients, we use Diagnodent Technology. This low intensity laser detects areas of decay more precisely and sooner than less accurate methods of the past. In addition to preventing the spread of decay, Diagnodent’s ability to catch decay earlier means that the fillings required are often simpler. This allows us to use minimally invasive filling procedures and preserve more natural tooth. Additionally, using this comfortable detection method enables Dr. Ra to monitor areas of concern without repeated x-rays.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
Composite fillings can be adhesively held in place or “bonded.” Because they can be bonded to teeth, composite fillings allow for more conservative preparations where less healthy tooth structure is removed. This often results in smaller fillings than that of amalgam (silver fillings), and they are more natural looking. The tooth-colored material is cured with an intense light and the surface is shaped and polished to match the tooth, rendering the final restoration virtually undetectable to the eye and very natural feeling in the mouth.
Laser Dentistry
Leading-edge “water” laser technology enables us to treat you more often with NO shots and NO drilling…. No kidding! With dental laser technology, Dr. Ra can perform many procedures with more comfort for patients than before. The laser can remove decay and prepare teeth for fillings many times without the need for anesthesia. And the noise of the high speed drill is a thing of the past when using the laser. Isolite System
Happy patients spend less time in the dental chair with more comfort. That is why we use the Isolite System. This system has a soft and flexible mouthpiece to shield your tongue and cheek during procedures.
