Meet Dr. Phil J. Ra

Dr. Phil J. Ra was raised in Southern California and currently takes pride in residing and practicing the art and science of dentistry in the Inland Empire. His childhood goal of becoming a dentist became a reality when he was accepted into the prestigious six-year Accelerated Dental Acceptance Program Tract (ADAPT) at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry right out of high school (in 1994). Dr. Ra is proud of this accomplishment, as only a select group of students in the nation are accepted into this academically rigorous and clinically grueling accelerated program.
After becoming one of the youngest people to graduate with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in the history of USC, Dr. Ra spent several years (and still spends many hours) attaining up-to-date continuing dental education and training. He is always striving for excellence!
In 2007, Dr. Ra received the “Top Dentists in America” award, given annually by the Consumer Research Council to selected dental healthcare professionals. He is currently in the process of achieving Fellow status in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. He is also a member of the American Board of Family Dentistry.
Dr. Ra and his dental family look forward to getting to know and treating your family, one smile at a time!
Our Practice Philosophy
We, at Sierra Dental Group, are aware that you, as the patient, have numerous choices for your dental needs. We are committed to caring for every patient as an individual, and not every individual as “just another patient.” People have different needs for dental treatment, so we take the time to tailor our care to your personal needs. We are committed to earning your trust, and we want to develop relationships that can last a lifetime.
What is Different About Sierra Dental Group?
Going to any healthcare office, dental or medical, can be an anxiety-filled experience for many people. When we say that we operate in a relaxed environment, we mean it! We do our best to put you at ease… Whether it is with words of encouragement, a pat on the back, or with something as simple as a reassuring smile. If you listen closely, you may even hear Dr. Ra whistling as he moves from room to room, doing his best to keep things light and cheerful. We not only want to provide you with the best care we can, but we want to do that in a way that eases any stress you feel about seeing a dentist. We want you to feel like a part of our family!
A Little More About Our Practice...
A Clean & Safe Office
Do you ever feel worried about cleanliness in dental offices? We understand your concern. We go above and beyond for you, exceeding the American Dental Association (ADA) and OSHA recommended standards for a clean and safe practice. We have a dedicated area with state-of-the-art sterilization technology where every instrument is wrapped, disinfected, and made ready before your visit. Each room is also sanitized between patients. Additionally, we perform weekly spore testing with a third party infection control center. You can rest assured that your safety and your comfort are our top priorities. We worry about the cleanliness of our office so you’ll never have to!
Education & Credentials
You can be confident in us as your qualified dental healthcare professionals. We are fully trained, skilled, and certified to provide you with the expertise you are looking for. Our whole team fulfills their responsibility to continuing education, attending dental conventions, seminars, and lectures. We want to keep informed about new products and equipment, stay on top of advancements in treatment procedures and techniques, and learn how we can better serve you and your family as patients.
